- 1 lb thinly sliced flank steak
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 head of broccoli, cut into florets
- 1/2 white onion, sliced
- 2 tsp sesame seeds
- 1/2 cup hot water
- 1/3 cup coconut aminos
- 2 tbsp sesame oil
- 2 tsp fresh ginger, grated
- 3-4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp coconut sugar
- 1 1/2 tbsp potato starch
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
Whisk together all sauce ingredients in a small bowl.In a large skillet over medium heat, add 1 tbsp olive oil. Sauté broccoli and onion for 5-7 minutes until the broccoli is bright green and crisp-tender and the onion is softened.Remove the broccoli and onions from the pan and set aside.Increase heat to medium-high, add the remaining olive oil, and cook the flank steak for 2 minutes on each side until just cooked through.Reduce heat to medium-low, pour in the sauce, and stir constantly for 1-2 minutes until thickened. Add the broccoli back in and coat it well.Serve over rice, garnish with sesame seeds and red pepper flakes if desired. Enjoy 🤍
