- 1 15 oz can chickpeas, rinsed
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 1/4 cup tahini
- 1/4 cup water
- 2 tbsp evoo, plus more for serving
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1/2 tsp cumin
- 1/2 tsp salt
Instructions
- In a food processor or high speed blender, add the chickpeas, tahini, olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, cumin, and salt.
- Blend until it’s extra smooth, slowly drizzling in the water until it reaches the perfect consistency for you. We typically use the entire 1/4 cup of water to reach our favorite level of creaminess.
- Garnish your hummus with any of the following ingredients to make it your own: olive oil, cooked or crispy chickpeas, cayenne, paprika, red pepper flakes, sumac, or za’atar. We used olive oil, za’atar, and red pepper flakes here. Serve with your favorite vegetables and pita bread. Enjoy 🤍
